To make a car reservation and enter into a car rental contract with the Company, you provide information to the Company verbally and in writing. This information may include personal data under the Personal Data Protection Law and the General Data Protection Regulation. The car rental contract outlines the terms related to the rented vehicle, your rights and obligations, as well as the use of personal data according to the terms of the contract.

The personal data we are entitled to collect includes your name, surname, address, date of birth, personal identification number, identity document number, its issuing authority, and issuance date, driver’s license number, issuance date, and driver’s category, address where the car will be parked (if applicable), credit card type (Visa/Mastercard/Amex), credit card number, expiry date, phone number, and email address for mutual communication. You must also specify the geographical area where the rental car will be used.

By entering into the car rental contract, you are informed, understand, and agree that each Company car may be equipped with a tracking device to determine the vehicle’s location in the event of a potential theft or other damage. The purpose of the tracking device installation is to prevent criminal activities.

The legal basis for the Company to process your personal data and enter into a car rental contract is your consent in accordance with your request and expressed desire to enter into the contract. The personal data provided is given voluntarily, and you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by contacting the Company as outlined below.

If you provide us with third-party data (e.g., family members, other clients, or potential clients), you must ensure that the relevant third parties are informed and have authorized you to use their personal data as specified in this Privacy Policy.

We are entitled to collect and use various types of personal data depending on the specific purpose as described below:

  • Personal data such as name, surname, gender, age/birth date, country of origin, and other personal data as permitted by applicable laws.

  • Habits and profiles, such as data on your purchases/reservations (purchase/reservation history, including the store where the purchase was made, the type and model of the car, and rental costs), information related to customer relationship management activities and initiatives (dates and categories of activities, and the results of these activities), shopping habits and preferences (wish lists, product categories, colors, styles, brand preferences, frequently visited countries, and information on special needs, such as preferred car colors), and other information related to your occupation, education, hobbies, and lifestyle, as permitted by applicable laws.
  • Family-related information such as marital status, marriage date, number of children, child-related information, and other family-related details as permitted by applicable laws.
  1. HOW PERSONAL DATA IS USED
    Personal data may be used for the following purposes, depending on the specific circumstances of our cooperation.

All the information you provide to the Company is stored on our servers, and if the information is stored in physical form, it will be kept on the Company’s data storage devices and files. Internally, only a limited number of individuals, including board members and accountants, will have access to your data.

The information the Company obtains from you may be transferred and stored outside the European Economic Area (EEA). By providing your personal data, you simultaneously consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your personal data (including sensitive personal data) in accordance with this declaration.

The Company uses the information it receives from you to contact you.

  1. HOW PERSONAL DATA IS SHARED

  • If you have not settled your payments with the Company, and the Company is forced to transfer information to debt recovery companies.

    The Company retains your personal data throughout the duration of the car rental contract, as well as for at least 24 months after its expiration, in order to use the data in case of necessity (e.g., legal processes, communication with law enforcement agencies, etc.).

  2. ACCESS TO PERSONAL DATA, CORRECTIONS, AND DELETION
    You have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation. In addition, you have the right to request data portability, request restriction of processing, as well as object to some aspects of your personal data processing. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Latvian Data Protection Inspectorate.
